Fashion Industry Youth Camp is Arizona’s premier fashion program for youth, offering hands-on training led by experienced industry professionals. For over 16 years, the program has provided aspiring young creatives with real-world exposure to fashion design, construction, styling, and creative development in a professional learning environment. As one of the longest-running fashion programs for youth in Arizona, the camp focuses on skill-building, confidence, and career exploration, giving participants the opportunity to learn directly from industry leaders while developing their own creative voice. The program continues to set the standard for fashion education, preparing the next generation for pathways within the fashion and creative industries.

Two-Week Sessions & Program Tracks
The Fashion Industry Youth Camp is structured in immersive two-week sessions designed to provide hands-on learning across multiple areas of the fashion and creative industries. Each session introduces students to foundational and advanced concepts through guided instruction, collaborative projects, and real-world creative experiences. Participants rotate through specialized program tracks that allow them to explore different career pathways while developing practical skills and confidence.
Students are introduced to Beginner Sewing, where they learn machine safety, basic construction techniques, and how to complete simple garments or accessories. In Fashion Design, participants develop original concepts, create mood boards, and bring their ideas to life through guided design projects. The Fashion Illustration & Software track teaches students how to visually communicate their ideas through sketching and digital tools used in the industry.
The Technical Design component focuses on measurements, garment specifications, and understanding how designs move from concept to production. Students also gain exposure to Modeling & Makeup, learning runway fundamentals, presentation skills, and basic beauty techniques used in fashion shows and photo shoots. Additionally, the Event Production track introduces youth to behind-the-scenes planning, coordination, and execution of fashion presentations, helping them understand the full scope of bringing a creative production to life.
Together, these two-week sessions provide a comprehensive introduction to the fashion industry, encouraging creativity while building technical skills, teamwork, and professional awareness.
